Intern – R&D – Plymouth MN – Summer 2024Are you interested in an Internship opportunity with Philips? We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate (BS) and/or graduate (MS) degree to participate in paid intern opportunities. Through this role you will gain meaningful, hands-on experience working for a HealthTech company.We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Student to develop R&D Medical Device experience by supporting new and on market product development programs aimed to treat structural heart disease. In this role you will learn and execute research and development activities associated to the product development and sustaining life cycle.Your role:

Assisting in research and development activities associated with new product development.

Collaborating with cross-functional team members throughout product development phases to ensure program success.

Performing statistical analysis of data to make data driven decisions using appropriate analytical methodologies.

Verifying that designs meet functional requirements through the performance of engineering analyses and testing.

Establishing test methods, acceptance criteria, and test equipment for all stages of product development.

Writing test protocols, analyzing data, and documenting findings in test reports.

You're the right fit if:

Completed at least 75% of studies in bachelor’s degree program in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.

Desire to understand and communicate how medical products are used, designed and manufactured and establish test methods to evaluate design concepts.

Detail oriented, highly organized and able to communicate information effectively.

Ability to multitask, take ownership, and collaborate cross functionally with others.

Experience using SolidWorks, Excel, and Minitab
