Accounting Manager

Description We are searching for an Accounting Manager to join our team based in Roseville, Minnesota. This role primarily involves supervising a team of four, handling daily accounting tasks, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. The position requires on-site attendance and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Supervise a team of four accounting associates, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Applications Handle daily tasks necessary to import, review, and post transactions within the ERP Ensure accuracy of payments made by checks, ACH debits, and wires Analyze and reconcile vendor statements and accounts, identifying root causes for reconciling items, and propose actions to avoid recurrences Assist with preparation of financial reports and other special requests using accounting software and spreadsheets, including internal periodic reports and occasional governmental reports and returns Handle questions as they arise and provide timely responses to both external vendors and internal customers Review vendor statements, promptly research discrepancies, and ensure that corrective actions are taken as needed Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and the integrity of data within the accounting system. Requirements Proficiency in accounting functions is essential for this role Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is required Familiarity with journal entries is a must Account reconciliation skills are necessary Strong understanding of financial reporting and general accounting procedures Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
