Aston Carter is looking for an Accounting Excel Expert to assist a client in the Saint Paul area in fixing their existing Microsoft Excel files. This is a 3-month contract opportunity that is fully remote. What you will be doing
This person will processes several files that need to be cleaned up and connected to databases.
Clean-up queries so some SQL experience needed.
Ability to create and write macros would be great. Bare minimum recording macros would be fine. Someone who just knows how to manipulate/use macros is not enough experience.
Formulas and data pulling in Excel.
Someone who will sit down and work with the accounting team to first understand what they do. Someone who is willing to learn their loan accounting process so they will fix files with what they do in mind.
A lot of files are simple processes if they work but they just don't work and are messed up right now. Wants someone to make improvements and then do testing.
What we are looking for
Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel - VLOOKUPS, PivotTables, Macros, formulas, data pulling, etc.
Experience in an accounting or finance role.
Intermediate SQL experience - query writing
