OverviewElement has an opportunity for a Construction Materials Test Technician to work in our Construction Materials Evaluation (CME) department. The primary function of the Construction Materials Testing Technician is to provide construction representative testing and inspection services on various land development, roadway, and construction building projects.Responsibilities
Setup, conduct and analyze standard field and laboratory tests following prescribed procedures
Performing testing and inspection of soil/aggregates, concrete, masonry, rebar, and bituminous pavement in the field and laboratory
Communicate with Clients, Technicians, and Project Managers on a professional level to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction
Skills / Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2+ years in construction industry (Preferred)
MNDOT Certifications in SOIL: Aggregate Production and Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Bituminous Plant, Concrete Field, ACI, ETC. (Preferred)
Valid Driver's License Required
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
