This position will have the flexibility to telecommute, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to complete a telework agreement.You will lead (or assist if at the Planner Sr. Transportation level) the development of freight and railroad transportation plans through a continuous, cooperative and comprehensive planning process that ensures compliance with state and federal requirements; to manage and coordinate freight related projects (e.g., Freight Network Optimization Tool project) with general supervisory guidance; to provide professional planning and technical expertise to internal partners and external stakeholders on freight and railroad concerns; to serve as a resource to other MnDOT staff and local governments for freight issues and opportunities. Some/light travel may occur to stakeholder sites within Minnesota.MnDOT does not sponsor applicants for visas or Optional Practical Exam for STEM Students. Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment.Minimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Planner Pr.
