The position will be based at the University's main campus in Hattiesburg. The School of CSCE offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, and Computer Engineering and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, with approximately 975 students enrolled. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate classes in computer science,
Develop an externally-funded research program,
Provide service to the School, College, and University,
Provide mentorship to graduate students,
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field and must demonstrate the potential to establish a high quality research program, collaborate effectively with others, and excel in teaching.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong oral and written communication skills and evidence of ability to publish high-quality peer-reviewed research and secure external funding. Preferred QualificationsOne to three years teaching experience in higher education.
