ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - ELEMENTARY

Billing School District 2 is seeking an Assistant Principal for various locations to assist the Principal in the smooth, efficient, and effective administration of the high school, and programs and events being offered.

Terms of Employment: Twelve-month contract. Salary and work schedule as per contract.

Date Available: August 2025 for the 2025-2026 School Year.

Qualifications:

- Current Montana Educators License endorsed in Elementary Principal.

- Five years of successful teaching experience.

Duties may include but not limited to the following:

- Participate in the evaluation of instructional and non-instructional staff members, and assist in the analysis of performance of various other staff members.

- Assist in the assignment of teachers to achieve the best possible educational environment of students.

- Assist in the preparation and scheduling of effective and relevant teacher meetings.

- Assist in the analysis of curriculum and recommend changes and in-service programs.

- Assist in the purchases of appropriate materials to implement the instructional and support programs of the school.

- Responsible for the inventory of materials, supplies, and instructional equipment in the school.

- Responsible for policies and programs intended to assure the health and safety of all members of the student body, and provide leadership for the student body, which includes supervision and/or discipline where appropriate and maintenance of appropriate levels of behavior by all members of the group.

- Assist in the organization and administration of the full range of extracurricular activities as assigned by the Principal.

- Maintain close contact with parents in order to better understand and communicate with students.

- Maintain close association with the school community and provide leadership and direction for parent activities.

- Assist the Principal in the general administration of the school and serve as Principal when the Principal is absent.

- Serve with parent, faculty, and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities.

- Assist in the development and achievement of curriculum goals and objectives.

- Primarily responsible for school-wide data processing, which includes generating forms, lists, and registration.

- As assigned, serve on District and in-building committees.

Establish fiscal procedures for accurate accounting and inventory practices, and coordinate the effective and efficient utilization of budget allocations for the implementation of the various programs. - Interpret the structural programs to the community. - Establish and follow procedures, which ensure accurate student records and attendance accounting, and efficient management of the school plant and effective utilization of District\'s resources and facilities. - Responsible for compliance with District policies, state law, federal regulations, program procedures, and the School District operations. - Direct the activities necessary to support the educational programs of the middle school by guiding and organizing the operations of student clubs, student government, intramural, musical groups, and special interest activities. Plan, organize, and implement those measures to ensure student safety in connection with school operation and activities. Plan, organize, and implement emergency procedures relating to the safety and well being of pupil and staff members. - Disseminate and interpret information relative to school and District programs. Establish communication with members of the school community in order to maintain their support and confidence.
