This position makes personnel decisions regarding hiring, compensation, promotions, discipline and termination of team members in accordance with Company policies. The Warehouse Manager also manages inventory and provides statistical analysis identifying areas for continuous improvement.

Billings School District 2 is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist in oversight of the accounting operations for Billings Public Schools. The Accounting Manager will help lead the day-to-day finance operations of an operating budget of approximately $200,000,000 and supervise a team of staff members including functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable. The Accounting Manager will assist in ensuring that Billings Public Schools has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. At least 3 years of management experience preferred.
- Five years of related experience in school district or other local government accounting capacity with reporting experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting.
- Standards Board required. Knowledge of Governmental Accounting Standards Board strongly preferred.
Duties and Expectations:
- Review and provide oversight of all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards.
- Assist in maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenues and expenditures.
- Monitor the receipt of all income, manage cash flow and bank balances.
- Regularly communicate status to CFO, Controller and Billings Public Schools leadership.
- Manage departmental staff.
- Ensures quality work products are produced under tight timelines.
- Oversee the processing of and ensure accurate and timely preparation of accounts payable and receivables.
- Coordinate various general accounting functions such as journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting.
- Assist with preparation of all financial reports, applications, and legal notices.
- Help provide oversight of financial, project/program and grants accounting.
- Assist in ensuring that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets.
- Assist in collating financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
- Assist in coordinating the information requested by independent external auditors for the District\'s annual audit.
- Work closely with the Controller and external auditors.
- Ensure timely information sharing and the ability to meet audit and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report deadlines.
- Stay current on accounting pronouncements, practices, trends, and state and federal regulations.
- Actively supports the Billings Public Schools Strategic Plan.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties:
- Supervises other departmental staff.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.
- Plans and directs work, ensuring that work schedules are adhered to.
- Assists in interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training employees.
- Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management, and corrective action of subordinates.
- Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals.
Schedule: 12-months; 8 hours per day; Monday - Friday.
Salary: $80,000 to $95,000 per year depending on qualifications.

The Billings Goodwill Stores are seeking an Assistant Manager. Will assist with all retail and production operations to achieve maximum sales potential. Will perform all management tasks in the absence of the manager. Will assist manager in planning and training. Will present a professional image to set an example for staff. Will play an active role in management team.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Conducts regular staff meetings that improve communication with staff, such as daily toolbox talks, monthly department meetings, and weekly management team meetings.
-Develops a superior workforce (through the use of coaching conversations, development plans, and by taking action with any staff that are failing to meet expectations, as per HR direction)
-Reviews production results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
-Monitor staff productivity to establish standards/goals and take appropriate actions to correct deficiencies.
-The primary focus of Assistant Manager is in Production, however, must also be knowledgeable and proficient in Retail operations.
-Assists manager in the consistent and accurate use of staffing model to schedule staff and to forecast, plan and track salary expenditures
-Assists manager in the timely and accurate reporting (paperwork and electronic ?forms?) including those related to HR, Safety/Asset Protection, and Accounting
-Responsible for store performance and meets budgets in the following areas: Revenue, payroll, controllable expenses
