EVENTS MANAGER

The Events Manager at MetraPark is the communication link between management and union regarding events including working with the Event Foreperson to develop the work schedule for the Event Maintenance Workers.

The Events Manager will assist in the oversight of the Production Department, manage aspect of events in the facility from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; coordinate communication between event related staff and delegate assignments through the Event Crew Foreperson; and be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction.

Examples of Duties:

- Prepares, recommends, monitors, and implements production requirements for events.

- With the Event Crew Foreperson, plans, directs, and schedules the activities of the event crew.

- Prepares detailed events sheets to allow for proper event coordination.

- Maximizes customer service while being conscientious of labor and operation costs.

- Coordinates individual shows and events as needed in collaboration with the Production Director.

- Ensures event contractors are properly informed and scheduled.

- Interacts with all MetraPark departments to advance efficiencies in service and logistics.

- Ensures safety policies and procedures are in place and implemented.

- Ensures emergency planning and procedures are in place.

- Manages program planning, contracting, and event supervision.

- Develops procedures for safety and efficiency of event operations.

- Administers event contractors.

- Works with Production Director to develop and implement event debrief procedures.

- Implements procedural or other changes as necessary.

- Works with MontanaFair Coordinator on logistical planning for MontanaFair.

- Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as requested and authorized.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Facility or Event Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or closely related degree; and

- Two (2) years' experience in event production; or

- Any equivalent combination of experience and training totaling six (6) years.

- Valid Driver's License issued by the State of Montana.

- Analytical problem-solving skills;

- Strong human relations skills.

Salary: $66,105.52 - $77,771.20 Annually.
