Job Description:This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards.This position starts at $16.24 per hour on the lower range.Sign Up for Text Alerts. Apply Today!Scope1.Cleans patient rooms or dismissal units; duties include but are not limited to disinfecting all surfaces, emptying trash, cleaning of sinks, counter areas, shower and toilet, dusting, mopping and vacuuming, restocking paper products and shampooing the carpet.2. Disinfects all public areas duties include but are not limited to sinks, toilets, washing walls, damp mop, and refill paper products, stairwells, damp disinfecting all areas, disinfecting handrails, replacement of blinds and shampooing carpets, buffing or waxing of floors in areas where needed.3. Follows proper procedure for separating regular waster versus biohazardous waster, disposal of needles, and storage of clean and dirty linens.4. Cleans Ancillary areas duties include but are not limited to wearing back pack vacuum, cleaning restrooms, trash disposal, damp disinfecting5. Disposes of Sharps container per policy (at certain care sites).6. Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Healthcare, and abides by service behavior standards.7.
