This position is expected to participate as a team member on enterprise-level technical projects, accepting tasks and providing relevant results. Focus areas typically include Service Desk and PC analytics.Essential Job Functions Serves as a technical resource for the organization and health system’s customers, staff, physicians and administration. Provides support during technical crises. Acts as role model of professional Information Technology practices. Promotes Information Technology across the organization, utilizing technical knowledge, theory and technical skills to promote optimal outcomes through best practice. Participates in professional and technical organizations to improve technology and improve healthcare through technology, and to advance in Information Technology. Collaborates with multiple disciplines to organize and coordinate technology enhancements to improve Information Technology outcomes. Is a contributor in the development of policies and procedures. Identifies technical problems/issues needing research and escalates issues as needed and to the appropriate resources. Communicates results of research to appropriate individuals/groups Provides regular communication to all members of the project management team, Operations and leadership as well as all clients involved in respective project or tickets. Analyze customer needs, review current processes, and recommend options and approaches to implementation and support. This is a paid position to assist with Active Transportation duties, programs, and projects for a period that will not exceed 12 months beginning the fall of 2024 and ending the summer/fall 2025. Research additional forms of social media that other planning department/metropolitan planning organizations use, how they use them, and make recommendations for additional social media accounts. - Help with minute taking: Take minutes for Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and other committees as needed. - Assist with keeping the Planning Division webpages up-to-date. - Assist with public outreach campaign for Safe Routes to School. - May be required to help with Mobilize the MAGIC City project as needed. - Assist the Transportation Planner with Community Transportation safety committee, i.e. social media, event organization, ordering supplies, etc. - Assist with postings, surveys, and similar field work. - Assist with creating basic maps to assist with planning activities in GIS, Google Earth, or Google MyMaps. - May assist in collecting geographic information via aerial maps or site visits. - Research citizen participation platforms for possible use by the Planning Division. - Assist Transportation Planner with the implementation/coordination of the Community Transportation Safety Plan. - Assist with the Healthy Places Program (through Healthy by Design) Work Group. - Assist with Complete Streets Progress Report. - Assist with general office work as needed such as, mailings and organization. Required Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma. - College experience in a related field. - Must have strong interpersonal skills. - Must have social media experience and be a strong writer. - Must be able to work independently. - Must have an interest in active transportation, sustainability, and healthy communities.
