Become a part of our caring community and help us put health firstThe Associate Director, Data Science position uses mathematics, statistics, modeling, economic principles, business analysis, technology and people management skills to deliver advanced analytic solutions and lead a team responsible for the development of models and products. The Associate Director, Data Science requires an individual who is well-versed in managing large projects, able to lead through influence and direction-setting with teammates and has a solid understanding of how capabilities interrelate across departments.The Stars program is the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) five‐star quality rating system for measuring Medicare beneficiaries' experience with their health plans and the health care system. The program is a key component in financing health care benefits for MA and MA‐PD plan enrollees. In addition, the ratings are posted on the Medicare Plan Finder website to help beneficiaries choose the right plan offered in their geography. Quality metrics include screenings and vaccines, managing chronic conditions, member experience with the health plan, member complaints, interactions with providers and customer service. Humana has led all national competitors in the percent of members in 4+ Star plans for six consecutive years. This quality measure of Humana's Medicare Advantage product offering directly impacts our members' health.Member and Provider Analytics, the department this role is a part of, uses data science, business intelligence and Stars expertise to solve meaningful problems for Stars business partners. Our analytics drive Humana's Stars performance and improve the health and life of our members by transforming data into advanced analytic solutions. The Associate Director, Data Science architects and creates projections, models, and analytical tools that support business strategy and tactics. Decisions are typically related to identifying and resolving technical, operational, and business-driven problems within the organization, and is effective leading highly specialized professional associates.Use your skills to make an impactRequired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent experience

6+ years' experience in a data science or analytics team

Advanced using concepts in mathematics, statistics, modeling and technology to transform complex data into advanced analytic solutions

Advanced in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics

Advanced in Python programming

Possesses a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across departments

Experience developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis

Experience identifying and resolving complex technical and operational problems within departments

Experience developing solutions using Databricks, Azure Synapse and/or other cloud-based computing platforms

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences, both our MA members and our business partners

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field

The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$139,500 - $192,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. Areas of Responsibility: Service Delivery ? Ensure the Agency adheres to the Agency?s Program Manual and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America?s standards; ? Review (and revise as needed) the Program Manual annually as part of the Agency self-evaluation; ? Assist the Executive Director with hiring of program staff and coordinate their orientation, training, and ongoing evaluation reports; ? Ensure program staff complete all appropriate documentation and maintain program files; ? Audit program files to assure high level of compliance with Agency standards; ? Review all documented intakes, proposed matches, and closures, and give direction and support where needed; ? Maintain caseload equity; ? Provide regularly scheduled individual and team support, training, development and feedback; ? Oversee development of match activities and family/volunteer trainings; ? Maintain current forms, and revise as needed; ? Meet regularly with the Executive Director to share information on direct service delivery; and ? Assist as needed with enrollment and match support functions. Program Growth ? Research methods to improve efficiency and effectiveness and ensure program growth and to address child and volunteer needs; ? Assist in the development of all recruitment plans and materials; and ? Coordinate with Agency staff the preparation and delivery of media presentations, materials, and/or interviews for all media markets. Community Partnerships ? Serve as liaison with mentoring partners including businesses, schools, and agencies, and develop new mentoring partnerships; ? Identify and meet with potential partner representatives including local businesses, social ser ice groups, schools, youth serving agencies, etc. to establish new mentoring partners; and ? Represent the Agency and attend appropriate meetings with community groups, foundations, partners and other constituents as needed. Communication ? Attend Board and council meetings as requested; ? Provide program statistics and narratives on a regular basis to track growth and quality of matches for presentation at Board/council meetings and to support grant writing efforts; ? Assist with budget and strategic planning; ? Assist with fundraising as needed; ? Assist with grant proposals, reports and stewardship as needed; and ? Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.
