As a Cash Operations Specialist, you'll process coin and currency while strictly adhering to procedures and internal controls.Our Cash department is a highly regulated operations area where you'll be required to comply with all regulations, procedures and controls, including the Treasury Currency Operations Manual (TCOM), Federal Reserve System Custody Principles and Standards (CCPS).Responsibilities include:

Prepare currency and coin shipments for depository institutions efficiently and accurately to meet all quality standards.

Verify all in-coming currency and coin shipments from depository institutions.

Verify all supporting documentation with the currency and coin to ensure integrity and accuracy of the deposit.

Prepare currency for processing, operates high-speed currency equipment, verify currency deposits from financial institutions, initiate adjustments, identify counterfeit currency and balances team inventory while monitoring production and maintaining internal and Treasury procedures and controls.

Count and manage a large quantity of currency or coin on a 1–4-member team.

Maintain custody control standards and ensure supporting documentation for all transactions is completed accurately.

Balance the team inventory on a daily basis through the cash application system.

Function well in team-oriented environment while working in close proximity with other employees.

Perform job responsibilities while maintaining quality and productivity goals and contributing to team performance.

Communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisor, and other Bank employees.

Strictly adhere to work schedule. Mandatory overtime is required to address out-of-balance situations or heavy volume periods.

Required to pass, as a requirement of the position, a counterfeit certification test.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. College education is preferred.

Proficiency with basic mathematics. Proficiency in accounting skills is preferred.

Entry level position. Some experience in currency handling, financial services or operations environment preferred.

Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Additional Information:

S alary range is $36,200 -$47,274 -$54,300 . S alary offer will be based on qualifications/experience of the candidate , alignment with market data, the needs of the position, our total compensation package, and internal equity.
