Immerse yourself in Ford's center of innovation and growth, working alongside top engineering, design, and software talent to create groundbreaking EVs and contribute to key technologies like batteries, charging, and recycling. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and make a real impact on the automotive industryThis is a 6 month program

Support cross-functional product architecture decisions for all vehicle systems

Identify and resolve geometrical incompatibilities between systems through first principles and concept 3D

Collaborate with engineers, designers, technicians, and suppliers to procure and build physical properties

Develop innovative engineering solutions that enable integrated vehicle systems, efficient manufacturing processes, and key styling themes

Develop and prototype concepts that improve product cost, mass, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, and user experience

The minimum requirements we seek:

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent

Strong engineering fundamentals, and ability to apply broadly to vehicle systems and manufacturing processes

Strong written and verbal communication

Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic work environment

CAD proficiency in assembly and part design, FEA, and 2D drawings.

Our preferred requirements:

Prior internship or student project experience in automotive or related field

Experience designing and analyzing mechanical components in 3D CAD

Experience fabricating and manufacturing mechanical components

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Strong proficiency in Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA)
