The Payroll Manager will be accountable for all aspects of payroll operations, including vendor management, systems, and processes & integration. Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
Produce all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to explaining pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensuring proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
Work hand-in-hand with additional members of senior Finance leadership staff to get the job done
Build up a team, as well as guide it to success
Claim responsibility for internal and external audits
Provide internal safeguards by keeping track of records and overseeing control systems
Payroll analysis
Manage payroll operations and staff members
Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures, as well as troubleshoot anomalies
Suggest, lead, and work on projects to review and enhance current processes
Requirements
Less than one year of experience preferred
Comfortable with payroll applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)
Sound knowledge of payroll-related cloud-based technology solutions is preferred in candidates applying for this position
Certified Payroll Profession (CPP) certification vital
Demonstrated knowledge of compensation analysis
Solid understanding of Multi-state Payroll
bi-Monthly Payroll experience highly desired
semi-Monthly Payrolls experience preferred
Command of HRIS Payroll System
Deep understanding of payroll for over 500 employees
General familiarity with Compensation Surveys
Adeptness in Weekly Payroll
To succeed at this position, you should have strong interpersonal skills
