AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Geologist to join our Billings, Montana Remediation team. We are seeking candidates who will be able to contribute to the successful delivery of existing projects and promote growth in existing and new markets immediately. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting, design, and implementation services to our key clients. AECOM is seeking a candidate who has a technical background in the environmental investigation/remediation consulting industry and who would like to grow their career.Responsibilities for this position may include:Task or project management and lead teams for field activities for air, soil vapor, soil, groundwater, and sediment sample collection, geologic logging (unconsolidated sediments and bedrock), and interpretation.Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies to develop remedial approaches for soil and groundwater impact including feasibility studies, remedial action work plans, and remediation design plans.Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.Prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.Prepare and implement work plans, cost estimates, data compilation/analysis, and reports.Prepare proposals and cost estimates for new opportunities.Execute fieldwork by directing and overseeing individual or multiple contractors (e.g., laboratory, drillers, surveyors, excavation contractors).Liaise with clients/client representatives, site facilities, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.Health and safety planning and hazard recognition.Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable meeting clients, regulatory case managers, colleagues, and subcontractors alike.Travel to project site, some overnight travel will be required during the weekdays.  Travel less than 20 percent of time.
