POSITION: HEAD CHEF/ BOH SUPERVISOR

LaFoley Kitchen is a private chef company based in the beautiful Bozeman Montana. Inspired by the timeless human appreciation for truly good food, the team at LaFoley Kitchen draws from their decades of collective fine catering expertise to create dynamic fare and excellent service for our customers. Our goal: an unparalleled dining experience, from kitchen to table.

We are looking to hire someone who can step right into our well oiled machine. Not only will you be running the back of the kitchen, you will also be required to go to private events and represent our kitchen.

Desired Qualifications

Be able to execute dinners at private events.

Manage the serving staff during events.

Being able to speak with clients in a professional manner and be comfortable rolling with any last-minute changes.

Maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

Valid drivers license and comfortability with driving large company vehicles (most events take place in Big Sky 1 hr away).

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Being committed and flexible enough to accommodate last minute events.

Service should always be professional, quiet and unobtrusive.

Primary Position BOH Supervisor Requires:

In charge of all aspects regarding the production and functionality of our kitchen.

Being able to bring events to fruition from shopping to prep to the actual dinner.

Being able to work well with others and give direction in a positive way that encourages a great working environment.

Be able to multitask and prioritize in a short period of time

Know and coach sanitation and food handling practices- must be servsafe certified

Being able to make prep lists, shopping lists, and working with purveyors based on the menu received.

Maintain schedule for BOH staff.

In charge of hiring extra staff during our busy times.

We also run a wood fired pizza truck, open to the public at farmers markets in the summer as well as private events. The chef will be able to run the truck at both the market and private events. Therefore you must be comfortable with driving large vehicles. This business is client based, therefore we cater to their needs and wants regarding the menu and event. There is some creativity regarding menus, but mostly it is important that you are comfortable executing the menus we have come up with.
