We’re Hiring a Friendly Host/Hostess!
Do you love making people feel welcome the moment they walk through the door? We’re looking for a warm, organized, and outgoing Host/Hostess to be the friendly face that starts each guest’s dining experience on the right note.
What You’ll Do:
As our Host/Hostess, you’ll be the first person our guests see—so your smile matters! You’ll greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and keep the flow of the dining room smooth and efficient. You help set the tone for a great experience with your welcoming attitude and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests as they arrive and thank them as they leave.
Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and waiting area.
Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about the establishment.
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor the dining area to ensure that guests are satisfied and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as updating seating charts and managing waitlists.
Upsell promotions, special menu items, or events to guests.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guests' needs and exceeding their expectations.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge of reservation management systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus.
A friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing exceptional service.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in hospitality is advantageous.
Working Conditions:
Host/hostess roles typically involve standing and walking for extended periods.
Work environment may include exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are common in the hospitality industry.
