Medicine Lake Outfitters is a horse and mule outfit that has been in business
in the Gallatin Valley for the past fifty years. We are a concessionaire in Yellowstone
Park offering extended pack trips and day rides. We are also permitted for pack trips and
trail rides on much of the Gallatin Forest and do short rides on our ranch.

We are looking for part time and casual call help for the coming season. There is potential for flex-time scheduling.
This job entails taking guests on trail rides and giving horseback riding lessons in addition to performing general ranch-related maintenance tasks and basic horse care. We are looking for applicants with a solid background in handling horses (including trail riding) and the personality and communication skills necessary to provide guests with a safe and enjoyable horseback riding experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
. Extensive equine knowledge (minimum 5 years horseback experience)
. Safety conscious. Good customer service and communication skills.
. Physically Fit. Must be able to throw a fifty-pound saddle onto the back of a tall horse.
. Attention to Detail. Must be able to retain directives and remember and implement standard operating procedures.
. Responsible. Show up when scheduled. Punctual to work. Self-starter.
. Maintain a presentable western wrangler image around guests.
. Non-smoker.
DESIREABLE EXPERIENCE / SKILL SETS:
. Prior experience at a guest ranch, horse facility, or riding stable.
. First Aid and CPR certification.
. Colt Starting
. Saddle and Tack construction and repair. We have a saddle shop on premise, and this is good rainy-day work.
. Ranch infrastructure maintenance and construction.
