House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep and Pet Care Support)

Job Title: House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep and Pet Care Support)

Location: Bozeman, MT

Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Proposed Start Date: ASAP

Compensation: $75-85K annual salary (depending on experience)

Benefits: Health insurance (50% paid by the company), 3% IRA match, cell phone benefit, mileage reimbursement

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM

Requirements: Non-smoker, pass background check, reliable transportation

About Our Family:

We are a busy family with two children: a 9-month-old and a 4-year-old. We also have a 6-year-old mini Aussie dog and two outdoor cats. Both parents have demanding professional schedules. Our goal is to create a warm and organized home, so we can spend more quality time together and not feel overwhelmed by the day-to-day responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a hardworking, loving, and caring individual who can become a true extension of our family. This person will integrate fully into our family structure, working side by side with us to create a home that runs smoothly. While not focused on childcare (full time nanny secured), we would like this person to be involved with our children and grow with the family long-term. We are looking for someone with a positive outlook, good energy, and a glass-half-full attitude.

This role requires a self-starter who can take initiative and balance both the big picture and the details. You’ll need to anticipate needs and be flexible, as the job will evolve over time as our family’s needs change, especially as our kids grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Household Management & Organization:

Cleaning & Organizing:

Tidy daily, deep clean weekly (including making beds, organizing cabinets, and ensuring everything is in its place).

Deep clean the range hood, oven, and other kitchen appliances.

Clean and organize the garage, including pressure washing.

Clean the family vehicles weekly (wash, detail, and fill gas).

Organize and manage seasonal changes for the home (clothes, décor, activity items like paddle boards).

Manage laundry: wash, fold, organize, and change sheets on beds.

Support on seasonal house changes and activities.

Exterior tidying: clean seating areas, organize propane tanks for outdoor heaters, and pickup outside.

Meal Prep & Food Management:

Meal Planning & Preparation:

Prepare all meals (breakfast and dinner 4x/week) with extra for leftovers to use as lunch.

Manage food stocking, grocery shopping, and pantry organization.

Ensure that meal planning aligns with dietary needs, including gluten and dairy-free options.

Work together with family to align meal plan to their macro goals and ensure healthy, nutritious food for the family

Errands & Admin Support:

Run errands, including returns, dry cleaning, and general household shopping.

Assist with miscellaneous administrative tasks and prep for guest stays as needed.

Help with travel packing/unpacking and other logistical support.

General House Maintenance:

Change out humidifiers and water filters as required.

Hot tub and cold plunge maintenance (drain, refill, maintain chemicals)

Oversee general home upkeep, including minor repairs and maintenance tasks.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Swap snow tires and schedule vehicle maintenance as needed.

Seasonal Tasks (Summer & Winter):

Summer: Pack the camper and boat, ensuring everything is ready for family trips.

Winter: Help with snow plowing (optional, as dad currently handles this but would prefer to delegate if possible).

Pet Care:

Take the dog to the groomer or vet when needed.

Administer daily medication for the dog.

Proven experience in household management, meal prep, or similar roles.

Excellent communication skills and a professional, friendly demeanor.

Ability to work independently and take the initiative in a busy household.

Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the family.
