Youngs Tree and Forestry is a husband / wife owned tree, forest and lawn care company. We are located next to Bozeman Hot springs. We only work for nice people. We are looking for employees who are also nice, have a good work ethic and like being helpful. They must have a clean driving record, be teachable, be willing and able to follow instructions. Everything we do requires attention to detail. Safety is no exception, you will be trained in safe work practices.
Lawn sprayer's must be able to lift 50lbs, must be physically fit, able to read well and write legibly. If you really want to learn this business, lawn spraying can be a promising and healthy career.
Tree workers must be able to lift up to 75lbs, be physically fit for the work, read well and write legibly. Work duties include Pruning trees and shrubs, assisting with spraying trees, tree removals, dragging brush to the chipper and chipping it etc. We sometimes do wildland work but mostly we do urban forestry. Ground workers will also assist aerial arborist who are working from lifts or are climbers. Previous experience with chain saws and pruning tools is not necessary but is a plus. Abilities like backing a trailer, tying knots, doing light mechanical work and just common-sense stuff are all pluses. Being a ground worker is a great starting point for someone wanting to learn a rewarding and good paying career in the tree world.
Lawn spraying is always local work. Most of our tree and forestry work is also in the Gallatin valley but may occasionally be out of town. Ideally, we hope for employees who want a future in lawn spraying and / or tree care. My wife and I are growing older and hope that within a couple of years we can begin our transition into retirement while someone younger manages or buys out our company.
The starting wage is $26/ hour but will quickly raise for people who do well for us. We welcome overtime when its needed especially if you want to stay late and really learn the business. We are often tired at the end of the day but enjoyed getting there. We take a ten-day vacation break in early August.
