QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse
Valid Drivers License
Ability to pass a background check to obtain security clearance
Ability to pass required drug testing
Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
Good organizational skills
Great communication skills - written and verbal
DUTIES INCLUDE:
Deliver care to inmates by utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation in accordance with established philosophy
Practice specialty nursing in a complex environment which combines the demands of two systems, corrections and health care
Work with a population where serious medical conditions, psychiatric disorders, substance addiction and infectious diseases are more prevalent than in the general population
Includes elements of multiple medical specialties including outpatient care, emergency care, chronic care, OB/GYN care, geriatric care, postoperative care, addiction/substance abuse, mental health, occupational health and dental health.
Full-time position, typically working Monday - Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.$31.17 per hour.
