Join us as a Research Aide/Surveyor to assist with an outdoor recreation survey around the beautiful Canyon Ferry Reservoir, MT! Part-time and Full-time options available.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct surveys with visitors (85%)
Count vehicles and visitors at recreation sites (10%)
Administrative tasks, such as uploading data after each shift and submitting hours worked via email (5%)
Skills and Qualifications
Excellent people skills to approach visitors and conduct a 5-min interview with them
Ability to work independently on varying days each week
Flexibility and adaptability
Must be comfortable using a tablet (provided)
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive to/from and around Canyon Ferry recreation sites
Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions
Prior surveying experience is preferred but not required
Work Schedule and Salary
$18-20/hour (depending on experience)
Part-time positions (temporary): Field campaigns will last from 3 to 5 consecutive days during Spring, Summer, and Fall 2025. The ideal candidate will work in more than one campaign.
Full-time position (temporary): 40 hours per week during Summer months.
Work schedule might include early mornings, evenings, and weekends
Per diem meals included
Travel and lodging are included, depending on place of residence
If using your own vehicle, reimbursement for miles driven will be at the state rate (currently $0.67/mile)
