We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to oversee and assist in running the day-to-day of our bakery operations. The ideal person for this role is an adept people manager in a restaurant environment: kitchens are notoriously close-knit team dynamics and require a special type of management style in order to be successful. We are searching for someone with a strong background in food service (bakery specific experience is encouraged), excellent leadership skills and motivation to problem-solve and help Fleur grow.
Responsibilities
-Problem-solving prep and production questions with the kitchen team as they arise
-People management: facilitating a fun, positive, healthy work environment & managing conflict
-Leading the team while upholding Fleur’s core values
-Monthly inventory and food cost maintenance
-Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs
-Product quality assurance
-Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of food safety
-Liaison between FOH and BOH operations
-Train, supervise, and motivate FOH staff members to deliver exceptional customer service and knowledge of products we create
Qualifications
-Certified Serv-safe Manager
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry (bakery knowledge is a plus)
- Positive leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire our dedicated team
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using POS systems
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
-2+ years with managerial experience
