Agricultural Research Assistant ? Sidney, MT

The plant pathology team at the MSU-Eastern Ag Research Center is currently hiring for a full-time field research assistant. This is an entry level position ? on the job training will be provided.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting scientists with management of field experiments, applying pesticides, writing reports, preparing samples, and other duties as needed. Occasional off-station travel, and weekend/evening hours may be required during the summer. Physical demands that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodations include standing for long periods of time, working around bacteria, fungi, and chemicals, and must be able to lift 40 lbs. Paid training for a pesticide applicators license is included.
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a Montana state driver's license within 60 days of hire. A high school or bachelors level education is preferred. Must have experience with computer software including Microsoft office.
