Job Description
GP-IT is looking for a contractor to work on the team responsible for supporting the businesses marketing and distribution systems and processes.
This specific role would be primarily for a Documentation Specialist (role/title still TBD) or professional with a similar skill set. This role would be responsible for the designing and building the storage, cataloging, and retrieval process for associated documentation and business practices. This person would be heavily involved in the classification and categorization of technical business information, as well as creating documentation and associated content (flow charts, graphs, swim-lanes, diagrams, etc.).
Since business documents are used to standardize the production of goods and services, and can become legal documents to ensure company compliance to internal and external policies, this role requires someone with a very high attention to detail, have high quality standards, and often be self-auditing.
Skills
This person must be detail-oriented and able to work with a high volume of documents in a fast-paced environment.
They should be highly organized and process-oriented.
They must have excellent oral and written communications skills to interact with all levels of the organization.
The need to have strong listening skills, and the ability to quickly transcribe conversation details.
Requirements
High proficiency for MS Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.
Experience creating technical documentation
Experience crafting reports, gathering associated metrics, creating graphs, charts, etc.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Background in Information Systems and Networking is a plus
