This is for an Tax Examiner 1 underfilling a Tax Examiner 2. This position will be located in the Reno District Office Revenue/Compliance section. Tax Examiners are responsible for assisting taxpayers with registrations, collection of fees and to resolve account issues by analyzing and correcting taxpayer accounts for discrepancies in reporting. Tax Examiners answer taxability questions over the telephone, in person and through correspondence. The main purpose of the Tax Examiner is to assist the taxpayers' quickly and accurately by applying laws and statutes. The areas include but are not limited to Sales and Use tax, Modified Business tax, Commerce Tax and to have basic knowledge of Excise tax types.
