The Grant Writer and Communications Coordinator will be required to have a bachelors degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or a related field and 3-5 years of related experience (including grant writing experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.Excellent writing, editing, prooing and oral communications skills with proven ability to analyze, organize and use complex information for multiple audiences across multiple mediums.Aptitude to competently manage multiple and diverse projects and use independent judgment on when and how to respond to shifting priorities and the unexpected.Exercise good judgment and take initiative to complete projects in a timely manner, often under tight deadlines.Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, effective teamwork, and strong service mentality.Outstanding organization and project management skills.Understanding of sales and marketing processes and supporting communications materials (such as grant/RFP responses, PowerPoint presentations, blogs, white papers, etc.).Ability to distill industry/subject matter-specific language into customer-friendly language.Proficiency with MS Office products, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms required.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, both internal and external, to help achieve business outcomes.Experience with Wordpress, MailChimp, and marketing automation software preferred.Experience working with data, infographics, or data visualization experience preferred.Familiarity with workforce development and/or economic development preferred.
