We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at Camp Wa-Klo. Camp Wa-Klo is an all girls residential summer camp located in southern New Hampshire. As part of the maintenance team you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities. This is a vital role in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. If you are interested in being outdoors, working with your hands, learning new things, and being surrounded by a great team that works hard and has fun doing it, this is the perfect job. Lunch and snacks provided daily during the summer season. Whether you are retired and looking to keep busy or you are looking for an opportunity to grow with a great camp, this job might be for you! On the job training provided as well. This position runs from May 1st- November 15, 2024 with the potential to go from seasonal to full time/salaried.
Duties:
-Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Preparing for camp opening in the Spring, lawn care and trimming, luggage pick up/delivery, general maintenance of buildings, painting, gardening, winterizing and closing camp in the Fall.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify any issues or potential problems
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address any concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently and within a team
Requirements:
- Must have a valid drivers license and be able to commute
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
