To put it simply we want our people to thrive and love the work they do.About the Role Provide leadership and subject matter expertise (SME) to ensure the financial accounting team
deliver the financial reporting obligations for Rest, trustee and investment special purpose
vehicles (corporate entities as well as trusts) ensuring best practice financial controls are
implemented and are aligned with the Rest strategy. Key Accountabilities/ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of financial reports and tax-related returns for Rest Group entities, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, accounting standards and internal Rest policies. Provide technical accounting leadership on complex accounting matters, accounting papers, and supporting Board, Audit & Finance Committee and executive reporting.Manage financial reporting controls, audit processes and reporting timetables across Rest Group entities, ensuring timely delivery of financial reporting obligations and governance requirements.Develop and maintain effective relationships with administrators, custodians, auditors and internal stakeholders to support the delivery of financial reporting obligations and strategic initiatives.Drive continuous improvement and team capability development by implementing better systems, processes and reporting practices to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls and enhance the quality of financial reporting deliverables.Lead, coach and develop finance staff to build team capability, accountability, motivation and efficiency in delivering financial reporting obligations.
