Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityAn opportunity has emerged for a Disability Case Manager to join Ratonga Hauātanga Tauira | Student Disability Services.This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, passionate team in a vibrant and professionally challenging environment, working to contribute to creating an inclusive educational environment for students with disabilities at the University of Auckland.In this role, you will:Support students with disabilities at the University of Auckland through ongoing case managementUndertake expert assessments, decision-making and implementation of appropriate support strategies for students with disabilities across all University campusesGather relevant information to enable development of a support plan (including all reasonable adjustments) and/or appropriate referral pathways in accordance with best practice and professional standardsReview and confirm student support plans, working with academic staff as appropriateCollaborate with University teams and external agencies to ensure inclusive, integrated supportPromote disability awareness and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesUphold the disability rights principle of “nothing about us without us” in all aspects of the roleInterviews are scheduled for early July, with an ideal start date in mid-August 2025.This is a Fixed Term 12 month, Full time, 37.5 hours per week contract (covering parental leave). A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the disability sector and/or providing advice and support to people with disabilities is essential.
