Under the Group’s 2025 Vision to become a “Global Pharma Innovator with Competitive Advantage in Oncology,” Daiichi Sankyo is primarily focused on providing novel therapies in oncology, as well as other research areas centered around rare diseases and immune disorders.SummaryThis position is responsible for supporting the Global R&D organization and will partner with the Head of Resource Management to drive the establishment of expert capacity planning and analysis, strategic and scenario planning and use of various analytical tools. Analytical Resource Management will focus on implementing a data driven approach to optimizing resource deployment, productivity and costs through establishing advanced functional algorithms, metrics and modeling to forecast resource demand alongside effort tracking actuals and headcount. As a member of the Global R&D Finance & Procurement team, this position will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of the project and non-project FTE algorithms, Planisware (TRIDENT) Time-Card tracking, resource analyses reports and functional business partnering. This position may also lead high complexity process and/or infrastructure projects in support of the R&D portfolio.Responsibilities

Strategy Business Partnering

In partnership with the Head of Resource Management:

Support evaluations of operating models and their impact on costs and headcount

Establish linkages/line of site between functional and geographical differences/opportunities along with connection point to other Non-RD functions and Corporate

Partner with functions within Global RD to support capacity management based on current capacity, headcount/budget constraints and demand. Identify optimal staffing plans between permanent employees and contingent workers. Identify new capabilities within functions.

Execute with strong project management skills, including monitoring work-plans and managing against milestones, knowing what to prioritize and why, knowing who to keep informed, why, and how often, and knowing when to escalate

Establish strong relationships cross-functionally, globally and with key established committees

Analytical Resource Management

Establish and manage metrics around Resource Productivity, Cost, Capacity, Alerts

Oversee the development of advanced algorithms using machine learning based on historical data and LF input

Enable talent skill mapping, leveraging skills of associates and promoting opportunities of growth

Partner with Head of RM to drive and/or lead or co-lead high complexity process and/or infrastructure projects as well as implementation of solutions in cross-functional and global settings.

Bachelor's Degree required

advanced degree (i.e. MS MBA or PhD in a scientific discipline with additional relevant experience) preferred

Experience Qualifications

7 or More Years relevant experience required

4 or More Years cross-functional drug development coordination/resource management experience or equivalent required

Industry experience: Pharmaceutical, life science, clinical trials management, healthcare preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or training in project management preferred
