Description Robert Half is actively looking for an entry-level Accountant for a role in the Financial Services industry. You will be responsible for entering data, reviewing financial statements, and creating and manipulating Excel spreadsheets. As part of a dynamic team, you will report to the Accounting Manager and have an opportunity for career growth. If you have an aptitude for Excel, a positive attitude, and a desire to work in an entry-level accounting position, then this position could be the perfect fit. This opportunity is for a long-term contract entry-level Accountant position and is located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.How you will make an impact
Reconciling and leveling general ledger accounts
Researching and correcting account discrepancies
Facilitating full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned
Facilitating audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audits
Log data
Make monthly journal entries
Requirements
Preferred education is an associate degree or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business preferred
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Bank reconciliations experience required
1+ years of relevant accounting experience at minimum
Experience with high volume data entry
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
