CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Our client is a large-scale and rapidly growing organization in the athletic equipment industry that is looking to add an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist to help grow their Accounting team. They are seeking candidates with a background of 1 - 2 years of applicable experience and who are analytically driven and have a desire to learn and grow. Sharp recent graduates with 1 - 2 years of applicable experience are highly encouraged to apply.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$23/hr - $25/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting all the outstanding accounts receivables from clients and customers. They may also be responsible for the other aspects of collections, such as analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of accounts and clients utilizing credit risk management tools. The Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist will research account disputes and billing discrepancies while responding to credit inquiries from internal and external clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE / COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST:

Assisting customers with inquiries

Reconciling customer accounts as needed

Creating and maintaining credit history files

Identifying delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts

Supporting the collection efforts and calls for accounts receivable portfolio

Forecasting cash collection and reporting to management on AR status

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE / COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST:

Minimum of 1 - 2 years of collection experience is required

Intermediate Excel skills (including Pivot tables and V-Lookups)

Experience with ERP systems, JDE is a plus

Possess effective communication skills

Detail-oriented and strong work ethic

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a finance-related field
