New Jersey drywall subcontractor seeking an experienced Field General Manager to coordinate scheduling, supervise crews, and manage customer relations across multiple residential projects statewide. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with drywall, taping, and light-gauge framing, can read and interpret drawings, and excels at planning and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day field operations across multiple residential sites
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, and subcontractors
- Read and interpret drawings and scope documents; ensure work meets plans and specs
- Maintain customer relations and act as primary on-site contact for clients and GC
- Monitor quality control, safety compliance, and jobsite housekeeping
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ construction experience with significant drywall, taping and light-gauge framing exposure
- Proven experience in field supervision/foreman or general management roles
- Reading and interpreting of construction drawings
- English communication skills (English mandatory)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout NJ
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously
Preferred
- Experience with residential construction projects
- Familiarity with scheduling/software tools (Procore, Buildertrend, MS Office)
- OSHA/safety training or certifications
- Experience with basic estimating and job costing
