About the Role: We are seeking a creative and compassionate Art Teacher/Instructor to provide art instruction to adults with disabilities, focusing on developing their artistic skills and encouraging self-expression. This part-time position pays $35.00 per hour with bi-weekly pay, and there is potential for growth into a full-time role as demand for our services expands. Spanish-speaking applicants are encouraged, though it’s not required.
Responsibilities:
Custom Art Instruction: Develop individualized lesson plans that align with each client’s skill level and interests in various art forms.
Client Engagement: Foster a positive and inclusive environment to help clients feel confident in their creativity and artistic abilities.
Skill Development: Provide instruction in different art techniques and mediums, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, or digital art.
Travel: Must be willing to travel to clients’ homes throughout New Jersey or conduct sessions at agreed-upon locations.

Qualifications:
Education: A background in Art, Art Education, or related field is preferred but not required.
Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in an art or instructional setting, is highly valued.
Creative Skills: Proficiency in various art techniques and media, with a flexible approach to meet individual needs.
Compassion and Patience: Show empathy and understanding when working with clients of diverse abilities.
Personality Traits: Friendly, approachable, and capable of building positive, trusting relationships with clients.
Self-Motivation: Able to independently develop and adapt lesson plans to ensure clients’ engagement and skill development.
Bilingual: Spanish-speaking is a plus but not mandatory.
