Schedule: Morning Shift Starting Between 7 – 10 AM | Night Shift Starting Between 12PM – 2 PM
Job Description
Line Cooks are Kitchen Teammate’s in the Back of House. The team is responsible for prepping food and plating dishes according to a restaurant’s recipe book & steps of service. Line Cooks are assigned a specific place in the line, such as the grill, salads, or sauté stations.
Core Responsibilities
- Sets up assigned station to prepare for service & re-stocks assigned station before leaving
- Ability to cook food in a fast-paced environment and manage consistency in accordance with recipe books and ticket times
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of station throughout service
- Responsible for proper preparation of food items on assigned station(s)
- Responsible for identifying items prepared for guests with allergies and dietary restrictions, no cross contamination
- Works as a team with other Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers and FOH & BOH Management teams
- Ensures Manny’s Diner steps of service & recipe book are met at all times
- Notifies Chefs of any lags on items from assigned station(s)
- Creates memorable experience to build repeat business
