POSITION OPEN: OUTSIDE GOLF OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR THE ARCHITECTS GOLF CLUB
Phillipsburg, New Jersey
The Outside Golf Operations Supervisor will report directly to the General Manager and Ownership.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Golf knowledge and customer service experience.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Excellent guest service skills.
Good organizational, communication and record keeping skills.
Must work well with others and be a team player
Able to read, write and communicate in English.
Requires high contact with all types of guests and/or clients.
Must have the ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Must have ability to safely operate a golf cart.
Will require standing for long periods of time.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
DUTIES: To train, schedule and supervise outside golf operation team members. Also responsible for performing all duties required of the outside operation.
Responsibilities will be including, but not limited to:
Oversee all outside golf operations.
Oversee cart barn and bag drop area and maintain organization and cleanliness on the cart barn and the surrounding grounds.
Transport and store golf cars from the storage area to golf shop for the day's play.
Transport golf carts to and from storage area, wash, and charge carts for the following day.
Responsible for appearance and cleanliness of golf cars including preparing carts for play, routine maintenance and record keeping.
Responsible for holding cart vendor accountable for repairs & maintenance they are required to make under the clubs cart contract.
Responsible for maintaining course advertising that will be found in the cart placards of all carts. These materials will be provided by golf shop staff.
Ensure cleanliness of golf car storage area.
Assist guests with clubs as they arrive/leave the facility.
Assist professional staff with outing setup and be on site from start to finish for bigger golf events.
Pick and clean range balls as needed.
Enforce club policies on outside Food & Beverage with arriving guests
Setup and breakdown of all range stations each day based on play activity.
Keeping an open communication with golf shop.
Explain the course markings, pace of play, location of drinking water and restrooms.
Check supplies on course and restrooms.
Control the pace at which players tee off.
Assist grounds with ball marks, divots and bunkers as needed during slower times
Greet all players on the 1st tee.
Record golf car numbers and starting times on starter/ranger sheets for reservations.
Assist with any additional daily golf operations as directed by Professional Staff/GM.
Assist course rangers and starters, range attendant, pro shop staff, and tournament coordinator.
Responsive to guests' by communicating their needs and issues to appropriate departments in a prompt and courteous manner.
Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
BENEFITS: In addition to the compensation below, there are countless opportunities to grow with the company. This position is seasonal and typically runs from March-November. Hours may be available during the off-peak season. (Weather Dependent)
Base Salary $12/hr Plus Tips. (Tips are split with outside staff daily)
