Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic primary care practice. The ideal candidate will be a multi-tasking professional who can seamlessly handle both clinical support and administrative responsibilities while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Support
Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
Take vital signs and patient histories
Prepare patients for examinations
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Administrative Duties
Front Desk Operations: Greet patients, manage patient flow, and provide exceptional customer service
Appointment Management: Schedule patient appointments, coordinate follow-ups, and manage provider calendars
Insurance Verification: Perform insurance eligibility checks, verify benefits, and resolve insurance-related issues
Patient Communication: Handle appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up calls
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program
Experience
3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience required
Multi-specialty practice experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience in both clinical and administrative roles
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Experience with insurance verification and claims processing
