Busy lumber yard needs your help to keep our materials orderly and our yard neat and clean. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty and you'd like to be part of a successful business, we'd like to hear from you. You will be asked to be a "second pair of hands" for our forklift drivers, assisting as they move lumber, plywood, decking, doors, moulding and other materials in the lumber yard and onto our trucks. General maintenance of the yard itself is also a crucial part of the job, so picking up packaging materials, banding, plastic cover tarps and other pieces of debris to discard in our dumpsters will be expected.
This is a labor-intensive position, and the work happens regardless of the weather because our clients depend on us - so we need to be able to depend on you. Your efforts will be rewarded accordingly. Those with previous lumber yard experience or handling heavy materials are strongly encouraged to apply.
The pay rate for this position is $17-19 per hour. You will see 40 hour weeks and occasional overtime. This is not a Union position; it is strictly an hourly wage opportunity for the right candidate.
