Property Caretaker
Location: Bernardsville area
Property: 30-acre Estate
Established family looking for an individual or couple to live on the property in a caretaker’s cottage free of charge (no utility bills, no water bill, no rent). In return for a few hours per day maintenance chores.
Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance of the property
Oversee contractors for landscaping, snowplowing, tree removal, brush trimming, lawn sprinkler, painting, small repairs, etc, all jobs onsite done properly
Individual or couple will be directly responsible for: Pool maintenance, koi pond maintenance, Chicken coop maintenance, landscape lighting, and other small odds and ends
Required total hours: Approximately 2-3 hours per day
Ideally this is for a retired or semi-retired person looking to live rent free in a bucolic country setting in exchange for a small amount of work. Depending on the person’s qualifications and abilities, other tasks can be added at $30.00 per hour as additional hours worked.
