Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, coating equipment, slitters, compressed air systems, pumps and facilities equipment/infrastructure Provides general preventative maintenance of HVAC systems equipment (non-coolant applications) Provides general electrical repair/maintenance and installation electronic controls/equipment Performs electrical shutdown/startup of low to medium voltage equipment Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment Participates in plant safety and continuous improvement programs Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed Purchasing of replacement and repair parts to rebuild/repair equipment in a timely manner within budgetary constraints. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education in HVAC, electronics or industrial mechanics preferred. At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics troubleshooting and repair. Experience in the converting or printing industries a plus. Ability to utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the installation, repair, modification and maintenance of equipment Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts highly preferred Effective written and verbal communication skills Basic shop math skillsSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
