Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maximizing the availability of equipment by leading skilled Maintenance Team members through well planned and coordinated activities on the manufacturing shop floor. Critical performance objectives to be championed by the Maintenance Supervisor will include preventive & predictive maintenance programs, timely repair of breakdowns, installation of new equipment, training and deployment of Team members, and insuring a safe work environment. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.

Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.

Wear all required personal protective equipment.

Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).

Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure safety – maintenance manufacturing personnel and facility.

Assist in the resolution of repetitive problems to reduce equipment downtime and increase equipment utilization.

Implement preventive/predictive programs/guidelines.

Work with Operation and maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment related issues.

Inspect facilities equipment performance periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

Supervise and train Maintenance Technicians/Electricians.

Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work

Coordinate maintenance activities within individual departments to minimize interference with production schedule.

Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and both internal and external standards.

Analyze, resolve, or assist colleagues in solving work related problems.

Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.

Monitor inventory of materials and equipment (critical spares and other necessities).

Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. upgrades, CapEx, renovations)

Coordinate and review external contract services as needed to complete projects, repairs, etc.

Summarize monthly maintenance activities.

Basic Requirements

H.S Diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience

3 years leadership experience in an industrial maintenance environment.

Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude.

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbal and written and supervise. Effectively present information to managers, customers and colleagues and contractors.

Self-starter.

Computer skills (spreadsheets, word processors, report writing, PLC).
