Description A busy company in the East Hanover area is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their growing company. This Logistics Specialist will get the chance to join a dynamic team that offers career development, flexible work schedule, and the ability to learn. This Logistics Specialist will report into the Director of Supply Chain and learn alot from this individual as they have been in this field for 20+ years. The ideal Logistics Specialist will have 3+ years of supply chain/logistics experience, have excellent communication skills (both written and oral), and be system savvy to learn their proprietary system. Responsibilities of this Logistics Specialist will include but not be limited to: Responsibilities: Act as a primary contact for international customers and distributors, addressing their questions, providing pricing information, and processing their purchase orders. Proactively manage relationships with new customers and distributors, offering guidance on order fulfillment. Review and process international customer orders with precision. Provide international shipping and logistics quotes and manage the successful export and delivery of orders. Keep all relevant parties informed about the status of order deliveries to international customers. Collaborate with the Associate Director, Purchasing to prepare and submit purchase orders. Handle communication with suppliers regarding open orders and shipment statuses. Track incoming shipments to anticipate delivery timing. Coordinate with the Quality Team to align necessary documentation. Update the International Sales Team on issues related to lead times, inventory, shortages, etc. Maintain comprehensive records of purchase orders and associated documents for all orders. Verify product costs and vendor quotes for accuracy.This Logistics Specialist position pays between $65,000 and $75,000 annually depending on experience.
