Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in East Rutherford, New Jersey. This role is situated within the retail industry, providing a crucial function in the maintenance and operation of our financial systems. The role will be primarily based on-site, providing an engaging and dynamic work environment.Responsibilities: Efficiently manage vendor invoices in our OPC system Maintain and upload approved project estimates into the OPC system Safeguard copies of all invoices from our Basware system to relevant project folders Conduct reconciliation of vendor statements, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date Liaise with the Accounts Payable department regarding invoice payments, ensuring all processes are followed diligently Utilize Excel formulas to efficiently manage and organise worksheets related to accounts payable functions Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all customer credit applications Maintain comprehensive customer credit records, ensuring all information is accurate and secure. Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory. Strong skills in Excel Formulas are essential. Experience in entering Vendor Invoices is a key requirement. A solid understanding of retail industry financial processes is necessary. Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team. Willingness to continually learn and develop AP related skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Experience with accounting software, preferably in a retail context.
