Key Objective(s): The main purpose of the Mailroom Packaging Associate is:
General operation of the mailroom, assisting tenants by organizing packages and communicating their arrival for tenant pick-up while maintaining a safe and clean environment throughout the dock and back area facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Mailroom Packaging Associate position involves Mail Room Operations, Client Relationship Building, Administration, debriefing with Logistics Manager on overall operations, challenges, identifying trends and any tenant feedback.
Daily processing and sorting, pickup and delivery of all inbound and outbound packages.
Reconcile and account for all incoming and outgoing packages
Act as the direct liaison with all mail support service vendors (i.e., postage vendors, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.)
Complete understanding role in the mail room and its responsibilities
Proactively develop and maintain tenant relationships and provide excellent service while assisting Logistics Manager with details and data on performance reporting as reflected by tenant feedback ensuring that expected service levels are achieved
Comply with all requirements and meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Support the day-to-day delivery of package services for ERC in accordance with all agreed policies and procedures
Identify opportunities for improved operational standards to drive efficiencies (process and cost) and make recommendations to the assistant/facility manager for consideration
Seek ways to constantly reduce costs and improve operational standards
Actively support an environment of teamwork, co-operation, performance excellence and personal success
Desired Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years warehouse or mail room experience is required
Excellent administrative, organizational, follow-up, inventory tracking and problem-solving skills and practical day-to-day operational proficiency
Strong abilities in a range of information technology tools and platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail
Superior customer service skills, and ability to always maintain professionalism under stressful situations
Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints and multitask and work without direct supervision
Ability to promote positivity and create team building opportunities
Physical Job Requirements:
Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures, and Code of Conduct
Must be able to interact well with others
Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities
Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadline
Outdoor weather-related demands – Open air dock areas
Long periods of time spent on feet
Requires boarding truck
