These solutions will generate insights from the organization's connected data, enabling the organization to advance the data-driven decision-making capabilities of the organization's enterprise. This role requires a deep understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, and a basic understanding of data science techniques and workflows.This is a remote position. The ideal candidate will have experience with Google Cloud Platform(GCP).ResponsibilitiesA day in the life of a Senior Data Engineer at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

Design, develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines that adhere to extract, transform, and load (ETL) principles and business goals.

Solve complex data problems to deliver insights that help our ministry achieve our goals.

Understands modeling process, major groups of algorithmic techniques, and model testing techniques.

Learn about machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics.

Partner with business analysts and solutions architects to develop technical architectures for strategic enterprise projects and initiatives.

Understand platforms available and how they are used (e.g., Azure, Hadoop, Bluemix).

Understand concepts of data ETL, data structuring and cleaning and data pipelines.

Understand rules on data, privacy and security, and can ensure quality of data.

Integrate data from multiple sources.

Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in data engineering or architecture role.

SQL and data analysis.

Programming (i.e.,Python or Scala).

Development in cloud computing services.

Building data pipelines.

Database development experience using Hadoop or BigQuery.

Data warehouse maintenance.

Work with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).

Familiarity with machine learning.

Data governance.

Work with structured and unstructured data.

Attention to detail, critical thinking, intellectually curious, and desire to learn.

Relationship building and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements translation.

Agile work process.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Masters / PhD.

Minimum of 6+ years of experience working in data engineering or architecture role.

Prior experience in a healthcare domain.

Prior Google Cloud Platform experience.

Prior full-stack experience.

Experience in the Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering Field.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) certification(s).
