We are strategic business partners who strive to uncover, deliver and evangelize actionable insights to drive product/program strategy, design and experience.SummaryThe Senior Marketing Insights Analyst - Commercial, plays an integral role in establishing GAF as the leader in Commercial roofing by building a clear connection to customer needs and empowering the organization to make customer led strategic business decisions. Reporting to the Manager Marketing Insights - Commercial, this role will support and manage Market Research initiatives, the results of which will drive Product, Brand, Marketing and Customer Program strategy for GAF’s growing Commercial business.The ideal candidate will have an analytical mindset while being intellectually curious as they help develop and deliver the information that will drive and support Marketing and Product Strategy. This person is a listener and asks questions to clearly articulate customer needs that can be leveraged to develop impactful market research plans.This position will be responsible for simultaneously managing, planning, executing and successfully delivering multiple insights projects of varying size and complexity. Marketing research experience is required.Essential DutiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Plans,manages,anddeliversMarketingInsightsprojects.Underthesupervisionof the Manager Marketing Insights - Commercial, executes end-to-end research projects, including requirement gathering, defining research approach/methodology, participant recruitment, research instrument development/programming/testing, analysis and presentation delivery.

Craftsquestionnairesanddiscussionguidesthatmeettheneedsofthebusiness. Leverages in-depth knowledge of survey and discussion guide development best practices to program surveys and qualitative instruments that deliver engaging quantitative and qualitative experiences to our valuable customer base.

EmploysQualitativeresearchmethodologies.Thisincludesmoderationoffocusgroupsandindepthinterviewsaswellastheexecutionofunmoderateduser experience testing to gather deeper insights when the need arises.

Analyzesworkandpresentsresearchfindingstobusinessowners.Provides actionable insights to project owners and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive strategy, design recommendations, experience development and product optimization.

Supportsinternalandexternalcrossfunctionalin-personinsightsengagements includingworkshops,focusgroups,co-creationandbrainstormingsessions. Supports the Commercial Insights Manager in partnership with Building & Roofing Science (BRS), R&D, Product Marketing and Sales to successfully execute and deliver impactful engagements that provide insight into challenging business questions, gaps in the market/customer experience and product development opportunities while bringing customer needs to light to drive action.

SupportsresearchneedsonrequestforCommercialfocusedareasincludingbutnot limited to Products, Programs, Services and Events for Contractors, Architects, Specifiers, Building Envelope Consultants, Property Managers and Distributors.

ManagesworkfrontprojecttrackingsystemfortheMarketingInsightsfunction. Standardizes use across the insights team, monitors requests, analyzes key performance metrics and builds best practices for capturing internal VOTC to drive continuous improvement of the Insights COE.

Under This Roof, We Require

3+ years of related experience in marketing analytics, marketing research, user experience research or management consulting.

A Bachelor’s Degree/MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Advanced experience with quantitative research (survey design, response effects, sampling, crosstabs, and statistical concepts, etc.) and qualitative/user-centered design methods (individual and group interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.).

Advanced experience with a broad range of Marketing Research tools/technology including Qualtrics, Usertesting.com and other online insights tools

Advanced experience with Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced), and Word

Experience working in the Building Materials space. Experience in adjacent complex industries/product categories will be considered.

Expertfacilitation/moderationskillsarerequired.

Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

Marketing Research, Customer Experience or User Experience Research certifications preferred.

A Bachelor’s Degree/MBA focused in Statistics, Research, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Anthropology, Human Factors, HCI/CS, Marketing, General Management, Architecture, Sustainability or Engineering is a plus.

Excellentcommunicator(bothwrittenandverbal)withstrongbusinessacumenand strong work ethic.

Demonstrated project management skills and ability to effectively manage a large workload with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Advancedexperienceconductinganalysisandsharingactionableinsights

Experience working with and managing research service providers.
