Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07206Job Overview:A certified nursing assistant's (CNA) main role is to provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them in daily activities they might have trouble with on their own, such as bathing. Because of the personal nature of the job, certified nursing assistants should be compassionate and enjoy helping others.Qualifications:Required:

High School Diploma or GED

BLS Certification through American Heart Association only

Must have a valid nurse aide in long-term care facilities certificate and be registered in good standing on the NJ Nurse Aide Registry

Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English

Preferred:

At least one year long term care experience

Certifications and Licenses:

BLS certification through American Heart Association

Current nurse assistant certification from N.J Department of Health

Scheduling Requirements:

Evenings 3:00PM - 11:30PM

Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs

Part-Time (24 hrs)

Mandatory Orientation

Essential Functions:

Responsible for daily nursing care, ADL'S and Restorative nursing

Resident care includes grooming, toileting incontinent care, bathing, transferring, positioning, ambulation, feeding and documentation
