As the Director of the EH&S service team in North America you will be responsible for tracking and analyzing our safety performance in each country and performing comprehensive risk assessments. You will play a crucial role in working with each business to identify their business support needs and based on this deciding and executing service packages that mitigate risks and environmental impact while strengthening our safety culture and ensuring compliance. Overseeing the implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Promoting a proactive and robust safety culture by establishing metrics to monitor performance.
Leading and managing a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure their success.
Identifying potential hazards, assess risks, and suggest corrective actions.
Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to increase awareness and promote best practices in EHS.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes, product design, and operations.
Establishing strong relationships with regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices.
Promoting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance.
Monitoring and reporting on key EHS metrics to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies.
If you
Have extensive experience (15+ years) in EHS roles
Have extensive experience (10+ years) in EHSQ leadership and/or manufacturing leadership roles, with a strong track record of successfully developing and implementing EHSQ strategies in large, complex organizations.
Possess strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align initiatives with the organization's overall strategy and goals.
Have excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. As a people driven professional, you have a clear communication style that adapts where and when needed.
Demonstrate ability to lead change and drive innovation, with a focus on creating a positive employee experience and a high-performance culture.
Have deep knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations in North America, including OSHA, EPA, and relevant industry standards.
