Client Summary: Our client is a leading not-for-profit health care organization that is the largest, most comprehensive and truly integrated health care network in New Jersey, offering a complete range of medical services, innovative research and life-enhancing care.Job Description: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)The Registered Respiratory Therapist under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual.Essential Generic Job Functions (List in order of importance):Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment, management, & diagnostic evaluation and care of patients in the hospital with deficiencies of the cardiopulmonary system.Performing Intubation assistance as well as Ventilator set-up & management.Gathering all information necessary to properly evaluate the patient's needs, including patient specific disease education as well as testing and consultations with other health care professionals, as appropriate.Developing a rapport and mutual respect with the patient/caregiver, as well as team members, to foster an optimum environment in support of goal achievement.Provides and documents education to patients/caregivers based upon identified needs in an understandable manner.Other duties and/or projects as assigned.Adheres to company Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 1 hour a day.Contacts: Regular contact with medical personnel and its visitors.Education Requirement:High school diploma or equivalent.Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.Required Certifications & Licensure:BLS - AHA.ACLS.PALS.NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license and Registered Respiratory Therapist is required.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.MUST HAVE ACTIVE NJ LICENSE.1+ year of recent experience working as a license RRT required.1+ years of ICU experience required. Previous experience with ventilators required.Schedule Notes: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM 3X12.13 Week Contract.Every other weekend required.At least 1 holiday required.Must be willing to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and Basic intermediate care floor.Equiliem Healthcare specializes in staffing clinical, non-clinical, and allied personnel.
